Michael Obrist [feld72] in conversation with Manuel Orazi about "Three Models of the City, Three Formal Histories."
During a general critique to functionalism produced alternatives ideas of the city. Concepts like The City by Parts by Carlo Aymonino, Collage City by Colin Rowe and Fred Koetter and Delirious New York by Rem Koolhaas were at the same time different urban histories and proposals for a new formal asset of the postfunctional city. A comparative analysis of those ideas can be useful for reflecting on our age, the XXI century, so poor in theories of the city.
